Frequently Asked Questions About End of Arm Tooling
Answers on vacuum grippers, tool changers, carton erecting tools, robot compatibility, and how we support automation projects across Europe.
Do you have Questions?
Everything you need to know about our end of arm tooling, custom grippers, tool changers, and 3D printed EOAT solutions. If you cannot find your answer here, our team is ready to help.
End of arm tooling, or EOAT, is the device mounted at the end of a robot arm that lets the robot interact with a part, for example gripping, lifting, picking, or placing it. It is also called an end effector. At Anubis Robotic Tooling we design and build custom EOAT, including grippers, tool changers, and vacuum systems, for industrial robots and collaborative robots.
Our range covers area and surface grippers, external bottle grippers, spider multi pick grippers, automatic carton erectors, manual and integrated tool changers, printed robot flanges, and compact vacuum ejectors. Each product can be used as a standard solution or engineered around your part, robot, and cycle time.
End of arm tooling produced with selective laser sintering, or SLS, is far lighter than machined aluminum, so your robot can move faster, carry more payload, and use less energy. SLS also lets us combine many parts into one component, create complex custom geometries that cannot be machined, and deliver tooling in days instead of weeks.
Yes. Custom EOAT is our specialty. Share your part, robot model, payload, and cycle time, and our engineers design a gripper tailored to your application and produce it with industrial SLS 3D printing. This is ideal for irregular shapes, delicate products, and high speed pick and place lines.
Our tooling and printed robot flanges mount on all major industrial robots and collaborative robots, including FANUC, ABB, KUKA, Yaskawa, and Universal Robots, using standard ISO mounting patterns. Tell us your robot model and we will confirm the correct interface.
An external bottle gripper holds several bottles or containers from the outside in a single pick, so a robot can move a full layer or pack at once. It is widely used on beverage, food, and personal care lines for fast and reliable case packing and palletizing without damaging the product.
A tool changer lets one robot switch between different end effectors, so a single robot can perform several tasks or handle different products. Choose a manual tool changer for occasional, hand operated changeovers, and an integrated or automatic tool changer when the robot needs to swap tools automatically during production.
We supply end of arm tooling for packaging and case packing, beverage and bottling, food, personal care, pharmaceutical, automotive, consumer goods, and general manufacturing. Our solutions handle everything from delicate retail products to heavy industrial parts.
Because we produce tooling in house with SLS 3D printing, lead times are a fraction of traditional machined tooling. Once the design is approved, most custom EOAT is manufactured and shipped within days. Contact us with your project and we will give you a specific timeline.
Tell us about your application, your robot, and the parts you need to handle, and we will recommend the right end of arm tooling and provide a quote. You can reach us through our contact page or request a quote from any product page.
