iRVision 3D Camera Cover with Lens Shutter
Keeps your FANUC 3D vision sensor clean, protected and ready to scan, with an air purged housing and a pneumatic lens shutter built into one lightweight cover.
- Two adjustable flat air nozzles keep the lens clear while the camera scans
- A pneumatic shutter closes over the sensor when it is idle, protecting it from collisions and debris
- Two proximity sensors confirm the shutter position, so you can interlock it with your robot program
- Mounts directly to the robot or to tooling through four M6 threaded inserts, with no brackets needed
- For FANUC iRVision 3DV/400 and 3DV/600 sensors

More Than a Cover
Standard covers shield the camera body. This version goes further, with air purge, a mechanical shutter and position feedback built into one lightweight housing.
Keeps the Lens Clear While the Camera Runs
Two flat fan nozzles aim a steady curtain of air across the lens, so dust and process debris never get the chance to settle on the glass. You can adjust the nozzle angle within a 10° range, from 35° to 45°, to match your cell and working distance.
- Function: keeps the camera lens clear of debris
- Adjustment: 10° range, 35° to 45°
- Air supply: 8 mm tubing fitting

Physical Protection When the Sensor Is Idle
An air curtain helps while the camera is scanning, but it cannot stop a direct hit. When the sensor is idle, a pneumatically actuated shutter physically covers it and protects it from collisions and debris. Two proximity sensors report the open and closed position, so your robot program always knows the shutter state before it triggers a scan.
- Actuation: pneumatic, 4 mm tubing
- Speed control: inline 4 mm flow control fittings
- Position sensing: 2× proximity sensors, open leads (PNP or NPN)
- Damping: EPDM foam at both open and closed positions
Mounts to the Robot or Your Tooling
Four M6 threaded inserts on the rear face let you mount the cover directly to the robot or to your end of arm tooling. There are no brackets or adapters to source, so installation stays quick and the setup stays compact.
- Hardware: 4× M6 threaded inserts, rear face
- Mounts to: robot or tooling

Why Add a Lens Shutter to Your 3D Vision Sensor
A 3D vision sensor on a moving robot arm spends most of its cycle not scanning. During that time the lens is exposed to dust, chips, spatter and the occasional bump from a part or fixture.
Air purge keeps the glass clean while the camera works, and the shutter seals it off between scans. Together they keep your vision results consistent and reduce the time spent cleaning or recalibrating the sensor.
Because the shutter position is confirmed by proximity sensors, you can interlock it with your robot program and only trigger a scan when the lens is fully open. Looking for the version without the shutter? See the iRVision 3D Camera Cover and Mount.
