Spreader End of Arm Tool
Products rarely arrive at the pitch you need to place them. This spreader end of arm tool picks four product towers at once and re-pitches them between pick and place.
The four suction towers ride on a low friction linear rail and are linked so a single actuation moves every tower in sync, changing the spacing while the robot moves from conveyor to carton.

Project Highlights
The Challenge
Pouches arrive shoulder to shoulder on the conveyor while the carton needs them spaced into neat rows, with each tower carrying a 250 gram product.
The Solution
A 3D printed spreading mechanism with four suction towers on a linear rail, two pitch settings with quick changeover, and a quick release end for different suction cup arrangements.
Key Features
Under 4 kg total weight leaves nearly the entire robot payload for the product, with smooth rolling action and integrated air routing.
The Result
Variable pitch pick and place in one lightweight tool, picking four towers per cycle and placing them at carton pitch in a single motion.
